Sept 11 - Thoughts from Katherine

Thoughts from Pastor Katherine

September 11th

A couple of years ago, I was fortunate enough visit the 9/11 Memorial where the Twin Towers once stood. It was one of the highlights of my first trip to New York. It’s incredibly powerful to see the names of the individuals carefully listed.

Today is the 19th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Let us gather as a community to lift up all of those effected by one of the biggest tragedies of our lifetimes. That day we lost 2,977 souls that day and I can’t help but think about the people who are still impacted to this day. I know you have a “remember when” story because of such the influence it made on our lives and our world.

Today, we let us remember and pray. Let us remember all the lives that were lost, all the sacrifices that others made that day in hopes of saving others. Let us remember those who are still fighting the battles that resulted from that day.

Let us give thanks for our safety and health and pray for the safety and health of our neighbor.

Peace,

Katherine
