July 27th - Throughts from Rev. Katherine

Thoughts from Pastor Katherine

July 27th

As everyone is aware, back in March we moved to strictly digital worship from home experience, that was a first for us. We brought worship into our home like never before. We transformed our kitchens and living rooms into a sanctuary with our own communion elements.  What we learned in that experience we will take with us moving forward.

Soon we are going to enter another first—the opportunity of a dual worship experience. You and your family can choose what works for you, to continue to worship at home or to come to worship communally with extra precautions.  Honestly, this will be the future of worship at FCC McKinney. We have learned so much from worshipping at home that we know we will always offer that experience.

While going back to worship might be a step back to normal, it’s still a change for us to offer this dual experience. I assure you, that we believe and trust that both worship options (at home or in person) offer the sacred expression of worship and connecting with our Creator. We are going to try our best to not give preference to one option or another.

For those of you looking for the procedures and modifications for in-person worship, that is coming soon. Thank you for your patience as we still are making adjustments.
