Feb 3rd - Thoughts from Peter
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 103:1
Our list of “To-Do” items seems to quickly fill no matter what our stage in life. The items comprising that list have varying degrees of significance and intensity. Filing your taxes and filing your nails might be consecutive items on your list of “To-Do”, but they are certainly not of the same significance and intensity. Does time with God make it onto your list? Because there is no real deadline to meet or cost incurred if we skip it, time with God can easily not make the list. Or it can be passed over for something that seems more pressing. I assure you, though, that there if you’re looking at your list through the lens of significance, you’ll find no better use of your time – even a few moments here and there – than creating space for God in your day. Sunday in worship we will read Psalm 103:1-5 to look at practical, real life ways we can more intentionally make space in our lives to attend to the presence of God.
Peace to you all,
