Thoughts from Peter

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. - Psalm 23

Put another way – The Lord is our shepherd and that is enough. We are too often focused on something else, somewhere else, sometime else. The shepherding imagery of God that is cast in the 23rd Psalm asks us to consider the sufficiency of God right here and now. With our gaze shifted from elsewhere and back toward the present moment, we better see the movement of God who is leading us beside still waters. The restoration of our soul that this Psalm describes can happen here and now. It does not wait on some future time or require some other location. Rooted in the present, our shepherding God is enough. Turn your eyes back toward the Lord who is here and is now. Consider that still waters and the restoration of your soul, through our shepherding Lord, is already here.

Join us this Sunday in worship at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 as we read the full

23rd Psalm.

Peace to you all,
